OUR STORY

Our journey began long before Abundant Life Church had a name.
I (Steve) served as a Youth Minister for many years, and while I loved pouring into students, I always carried a deep dream in my heart—to someday pastor a church of my own. It was at the church I was attending that I met April, and before long, God wove our hearts and callings together. We were married in 1995, united not only by love, but by a shared passion to see lives changed by Jesus.
That calling became a reality on June 3, 2001, when Abundant Life Church was born in our living room with just a few family members. What started small was filled with faith, prayer, and big hope. Not long after, God opened the door to a building where we believed the church could grow. We jumped in wholeheartedly—renovating, expanding, and trusting God every step of the way. In a true leap of faith, we even purchased much of the additions using our personal credit card, believing fully in God’s provision and promises (Matthew 17:20).
Through every season, God has been faithful. He has continued to work mightily at ALC, blessing us with an incredible, loving community that feels more like family than church members. We are also deeply thankful for our own family—our three children, Jordan, Kaylie, and Kaydin, and our grandchild, Ollie—who remind us daily of God’s goodness. God is still doing amazing things at Abundant Life Church, and we are filled with excitement and expectancy for all that He has in store in the years to come.

OUR MISSION
At Abundant Life Church, we help lead people into a new life in Jesus Christ through the transformative and miraculous power of the Holy Spirit. We are a non-denominational church that believes God is still moving today—healing, restoring, and changing lives just as He always has.
We are a church where community becomes family, and every person is welcomed to experience a true new beginning. We believe in teaching the whole truth of God’s Word—from Genesis to Revelation—without compromise. We don’t water down the Gospel or preach what is easy to hear; we boldly proclaim what is true.
We believe we are living in the end times, and that God desires to do great and mighty works through His Church until Jesus returns. Our mission is to be faithful, Spirit-led, and obedient—allowing God to move powerfully in and through this ministry.
Come experience your new beginning at Abundant Life Church.
There is Life at Abundant Life. (John 10:10)

OUR VISION

Why Should a Church Have a Vision Statement?
A vision statement gives a church clear direction and purpose. It answers the question, “Where is God leading us?” and helps align the hearts, prayers, and actions of the church body toward a shared, God-given future.
For a church, vision is not about ambition—it’s about obedience. A clear vision keeps the church focused on its calling, ensuring that ministries, outreach, and leadership decisions are guided by prayer and purpose rather than convenience or tradition. “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). Vision brings unity, clarity, and momentum.
A vision statement also helps people understand who the church is becoming. It inspires faith, encourages commitment, and invites others to be part of what God is doing. When a church clearly communicates its vision, it creates confidence, builds trust, and empowers the church family to move forward together.
Ultimately, a vision statement reminds the church that it exists not just to gather—but to grow, to serve, and to fulfill the Great Commission until Christ returns.
